Great atmosphere. Large space so tables are well spread out. Very warm elegant feel to it. The ingredients used in all the dishes are quite clearly second to none! With even the olives being sourced from Europe. If you’re a meat eater the ribs are just somethin’ else. The raw fish dishes make for a great starter. While the meals are very decadent there’s something about them that reminds you of a good hearty home cooked meal like ma puts on when the family are all together. The kind of perfection that you can not duplicate. (I can hear ma screaming at me when I ask how much salt to add “a pinch! There’s no measurement! Just add a bloody pinch!”). I can’t wait until these guys reopen. Stay safe during these difficult times and we will see you soon.

So I was massive fan of Johnny Barrs so when I saw it was changing to The Wynyard Grill I knew I had to go there. I decided to have the New England Clam Chowder for starter and I haven't really had Elk before so thought I'd go all in and order it. The chowder was incredible. And a massive portion for a starter too! Absolutely delicious. And as for the Elk. Perfect! I asked for medium rare but Duncan the chef advised it would probably be a little bit better closer to medium. He wasn't wrong. Purely divine! Ramy has done a great job here and really glad to see Kate is still there doing what she does best!

Really amazing food and service. Beautiful wine and incredibly knowledgeable staff. The reason this isn’t a 4 is purely the decor. It doesn’t seem to match the food and could be made way more ambient and luxurious feeling.

Food was good. Service not at all. After ordering the main courses no waiter came ever back to us. Even waiving my arms did not grab their attention (3 of them!!) So had to leave the table and walk to the main counter to ask for another wine. Summary is that this steak restaurant is not worth the prices they are charging.
