The Larder

There is a reason (many in fact) that the Larder is rated one of the capital’s top restaurants. The food is superb, the service is fantastic and the special, regional themed pop-up events are always amazing. Over the course of many visits we’ve come to appreciate the warm welcome from owners Sarah and Jacob and the rest of the staff, which has cemented the Larder as our favourite place to dine. Definitely looking forward to the next event, in this case a Catalonia Christmas experience. Can’t wait!

Always so lovely to visit this hidden gem. Such a shame dinner service is no longer! We were greeted and seated quickly. The food was served soon after. Always delicious and creatively presented. The only problem was there was not more! Coffee was also great.

The Larder is delicious. I went around brunch time and this place appears to be very popular. We were seated almost right away and got our food pretty quick too.The blood pudding was delicious, especially with the bread and butter.

Beautiful flavors. Complex and refined without being pretentious. If I lived in Wellington it would be one of my default brunch places. Well worth the drive. Also a very decent craft beer selection.
