We went here for an eight course dinner. The story they created around the dishes was so interesting and personalised the experience. It’s fine dining with a friendly vibe as the staff sit down next to you and explain the dishes. The food was very well thought out and left us not being able to pick just one favourite dish.

What an absolutely wonderful place. Ambiance is lovely, love the old brick kilns. Wait staff are lovely, attentive and informative.
Lastly, and by no means least, is the food. Chef and her crew produce the most amazing, interesting, and wonderful fare. All based upon a theme, using local ingredients.
I wish more Chefs would embrace the ingredients available in NZ. Absolutely fabulous.

Amazing to have a world-class degustation restaurant doing it properly right here in Wellington.
We had the ten-course “Battle of the Mountains” menu at the Chef’s Counter. It was flawless, using native and locally-sourced ingredients, and with thoughtful and varied drink matches.
Highly recommended!

WAUHHH....what a great and beautiful restaurant. It's a MUST BE for people who love exceptional and very good food! Excellently trained staff (first class)! Reservation is essential as it is fully booked for months.

Each dish had a unique preparation and backed by a story..... each story pieced together to form a bigger story. Such a brilliantly conceived idea..... go before December if you want the same menu, else wait till December to savour the new ones.
